Do they know it's Christmas time?

The general consensus that the property market "shuts down" when the first advent calendar window is opened may be a false opinion. City centre markets like, our West End office deals in, are still experiencing high demand for properties, especially at the lower end of the market.
Due to a lot of these properties being purchased by investors and not requiring a "move" as such, they are in essence a business deal, the shrewd investor is still on the look out. As well as this, the first time buyer is still out in force! The traditional early twenties buyer generally speaking does not have the big family Christmas to plan, especially if they are still living at home, and once the presents are purchased, they can concentrate on buying their dream home ready for the New Year!
So, contrary to popular belief, you can steal a yard on the competition by bringing the property to the market in early to mid December and if you don't happen to grab a buyer in the run up to Christmas, you're in an excellent position to start the New Year with a BOOM of activity which always happens come the first week of January.
